Group Lessons

Group Lessons (4-6 students)

Group lessons are held once a week for 45 minutes.  The lesson schedule will run along with the school-year calendar.

Group lessons are $70 per month, plus a yearly registration/materials fee of $50. There are no refunds given for missed lessons. An individual 25-minute make-up or "catch-up" lesson may be scheduled for $15.

Each student will have his/her own keyboard during the lesson. Your student will be given a binder with practice forms, flashcards, and CDs.  These must be returned to me at the end of the year.  Your student will have 2 books that you may keep (your registration fee covers the cost of books).

You must have a piano or keyboard in your home for your student to practice on  (keyboards must have at least 61 keys, and keys must be the same width as actual piano keys).

Students will have 20-30 minutes of homework daily. Please initial on the practice chart to indicate your student has completed homework for that day.  Check your email frequently for the week’s homework and for updates.

You must have a CD player next to/on top of the piano, or another way to listen to MP3's at the piano.  Your student will be listening to CDs and playing along with them.  This is a crucial part of piano practice for group lessons.

You will also eventually need a metronome.  You can download a free one on your phone/electronic device as long as your student will have access to it each time he/she practices.  Otherwise, plan on buying a real metronome and leaving it on the piano.

Please inform me if your child has any special needs or learning disabilities so that I may adapt my instruction accordingly to accommodate his/her needs.

A full month's notice must be given if you decide to withdraw your student from lessons during the school year.
